Hello, I’m Sarah. I am a holistic movement teacher based in the Northern Rivers, NSW and I support adults of all ages in finding more ease, awareness, and freedom in both their body and mind.

With over 20 years of experience, I’ve gathered a mix of techniques, tools, and insights that I believe can truly make a difference in how you feel and move day-to-day. My intention is to guide you in a way that’s grounded, compassionate, and trauma-informed — creating a space where you feel safe to explore and reconnect with your body and your relationship to self, without pressure or judgment.

Whether it’s moving more freely in your body, calming your mind, finding inner stillness or simply connecting more deeply with your inner truth, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we can explore practices that empower you to discover your own well-being and vitality, and find a deeper sense of connection to the present moment.

I believe in the power of movement and stillness

A little more about me - I’m a dedicated, passionate and caring teacher whilst also being an enthusiastic, humbled, lifelong student of life and the body-mind-spirit connection.

Originally from Lancashire in the UK, with the past 15 years living in the Middle East and Australia, I’ve gathered over 20 years of learning and training in various wellness practices; including 800hours of Yoga Teacher Training, Yin Yoga, Remedial Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Personal Training, Circuit Training, Sports Injuries and Massage to name a few.

My journey so far has been shaped by both personal challenges and profound insights, the guidance of life itself and the crossing of paths with many inspiring teachers along the way. This has lead me to develop a deep curiosity, understanding and embodiment of how movement, awareness, mindfulness and stillness can literally transform lives!

I believe in the power of presence to transform

I provide these offerings because I believe in the healing power of mindful movement and conscious awareness to help people reconnect with their bodies and to find inner balance.

Over the years, I’ve worked with clients of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, empowering them to improve their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Through compassionate, trauma-informed guidance, I support others in living with greater vitality, presence, and a deeper sense of self-connection while continuing to explore their inner and outer worlds with kindness and compassion.

  • “Sarah is the most caring and attentive yoga teacher that I’ve ever had in 30 years of doing classes. The depths I felt during relaxation at the end of the session is something I’ll never forget. And she creates a playlist of the most perfect music to match the mood of the class. There’s no one else like Sarah. She is Unique.”

    SONIA, Murwillumbah

  • “I’ve been doing Sarah’s Stretch and Strengthen classes at Murwillumbah for nearly 12 months now, and I’m obsessed! It’s not yoga, it’s not pilates, it’s a combination of all good things for both body and mind. Sarah’s gentle instruction leads us safely through a series of exercises that focus on a specific area of the body each week. What I love is that she explains where in the body each muscle is, and why and how the exercises will help. I have a chronic back condition and my physio advised I should aim to strengthen it, not just stretch it as I’ve been doing for years, and I find Sarah’s classes are helping immensely. Easy exercises that pack a punch and I highly recommend this class for anyone, any age!”

    MARGI, Murwillumbah

  • “Love Sarah’s classes so much. They have been an integral part of my healing from a burnout. Her classes of stretch combined with Yoga have not only brought flexibility to my body but has also taught me how to relax and be in the moment. Will always be so very grateful for her sweet, gentle nature and words of wisdom.”

    ANNE, Byron Bay

  • “Sarah’s classes are a true gift. She teaches with skill, grace, and care, guiding us through movements that strengthen and release exactly where our bodies need it most. Her heartfelt approach creates a nurturing, community-centered space where everyone feels supported. Each session is both grounding and uplifting—a perfect balance of stretch and strength—led by a caring, committed teacher and friend to all. It has changed our approach to how we look after our bodies and health.”

    L & M, Bangalow

  • “As an active person I found Sarah's stretch class and am impressed with the wonderful way I feel during and after the class. Sarah has a deep knowledge of the body so I feel safe doing any of the poses. The meditation at the end is a bonus too.”

    D, Byron Bay

  • “In many years of doing all types of classes I can honestly say I have never met a practitioner of Sarahs calibre. Her knowledge base is huge – as is her heart and dedication to her art and her clients. I started stretch classes with Sarah as a very overweight and unhealthy person – Covid had knocked me. In the space of a few months I had a huge turnaround – absolutely thanks to Sarah . The wonderful part of it all is that I know that no matter what age I reach I will still be doing Sarahs classes as she tailors to all.”

    CHERYL, Murwillumbah

  • “Sarah’s stretch and strengthen classes are really well prepared and thorough. All parts of the body are covered each class and they are also fun and challenging in a non threatening environment.”

    LEE, Byron Bay

  • “I have been attending Sarah’s Stretch and Strengthen class for the past year. My first time attending a fitness class and I intend to keep going. Sarah puts a lot of planning into the class as each week there is something new and that ensures the classes are interesting. Sarah displays a caring attitude to the class. She ensures that there is no pressure on students and for us to be aware of our capabilities. I find I am aware of my limitations at age 80 but also am motivated to attempt further exercises. I am pleased with the increase in my fitness and so pleased to be part of Sarah’s class.”

    ANNE, Byron Bay

  • “I have been attending classes for about a year and a half now. I always maintain that these classes keep me agile and free of pain. I used to be prone to dizziness on a very regular basis and I noticed a few weeks ago that I haven’t had a dizzy spell for months. I attribute this positive outcome to Sarah‘s classes. I would recommend regular attendance with Sarah for anyone of any age but especially for us older people who often struggle with balance and mobility. Sarah is skilful and kind and we all enjoy her classes immensely.”

    VERA, Ocean Shores

  • “Every week we look forward to attending Sarah’s stretch and strengthen class because we really gain so much from it. As we are over 60, the class helps both our mind and body so that we can maintain our active lifestyle to the fullest as we age.”

    KERRY & PENNY, Lennox Head

  • “I have often said I just love your stretch classes as it brings a sense of peace & awareness to my rushing self. At the end of this class I feel alive, alert & aware ready to face my daily challenges. And I try to take that sense of vividness & spaciousness when responding to them. Thank you Sarah for this beautiful butterfly & all the best.”

    MIRTHA, Byron Bay

  • “Sarah really does her homework and knows her stuff and brings to each class her honest to goodness gentle (but strong!) Positive guidance throughout. I love how each class is well thought through and different but follows on from previous class to target specific area of body to work in completeness and harmony with whole of body. Cheers for helping me understand and use all the consistently generously given examples of ways to stretch and strengthen.”

    CAROLINE, Byron Bay

  • “Having attended Sarah’s stretch and strengthen class I would like to say that her class is really nurturing, spacious with a targeted focus. Obviously well thought out, practical and moving toward an end goal for everyone she crafts a deep journey into each part of our body with some theory of the ‘why’ woven in. I love the gentle way Sarah invites each of us to participate as well as offering alternatives or allowing one to be content with staying put. The invitation is so alluring, the connecting in on arrival letting go and after practise the relaxation ritual is divine.”
